A Student Housing Oasis in Berlin
Presented through a design competition, this student housing project envisions a small oasis nestled within the cold, harsh winters of Berlin. More than just a residence, the building is conceived as a space of warmth, sustainability, and community.
At its core lies a dynamic area dedicated to physical activity—where movement not only promotes well-being but also generates alternative energy. This energy feeds into a self-sustaining cycle: vegetation integrated throughout the building absorbs carbon dioxide and returns oxygen, reinforcing the building’s ecological balance.
Designed as a pilot project, this concept aims to test and inspire new models for sustainable urban living—offering a fresh perspective on how student communities can live, move, and breathe in harmony with the environment.
